Eye Envy was founded in 2001 with a $300 investment and a vision.

Founder Lisa Burns was a Himalayan and Persian cat breeder, and like most innovations, Eye Envy was born out of frustration.
Both breeds had a propensity for unsightly tear stains and there was no product available to remedy this problem.

With the help of her family – Lisa’s uncle was a chemist – Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover was developed.
After an appearance on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show," the product began to gain momentum.

Lisa began attending dog shows, which launched her into the breeding, grooming, and pet business. Lisa enlisted more family members, and both her brothers and her husband, Cal, became integral to the operation and production.

The family is big at Eye Envy, in September 2014, Eye Envy changed ownership to brothers Marcelo and Marco Lalau.
Originally pet spa owners, the Lalaus became friends with Lisa and Cal who frequented their grooming salon. The brothers then began selling Eye Envy, and with the same ethics and traditions, they became an obvious and reliable choice to grow the brand. The brothers adhere to the founder's principles: developing safe products made with only the finest ingredients to improve the overall health of pets.

They also continue their charitable work, participating in the 4 Paws 4 Patriots event to help veterans receive service dogs and supporting the breeding community with free puppy and kitten starter kits, among other events.
