The bleaching is used to lighten the hair of different shades, whether the hair is natural than dyed.
Chemically, the bleaching destroys the melanin that is present in the hair and colors it, so at the end of the treatment our hair will be completely bleached (or rather a white / yellow color), and ready to be colored with a dye.
If you like the white / yellow color you can stop at the bleaching even if the effect will certainly not be the best.
To bleach your hair you need to use mainly two products: a bleaching powder and oxygen. The oxygen that is used to bleach is an oxygen with a choice of different volumes ranging from 10 to 40 vol.
What does it mean? Each type of oxygen volume allows you to discolour more or less shades.
To simplify it and understand better, if a person has light brown hair, to completely bleach the hair he will need oxygen at 10 or 20 volumes, a person with dark black hair will need oxygen at 40 volumes.
